Reporting a Suspected Infringement:
The Canadian Plant Technology Agency ask for reports to be as detailed as possible, but we ask that you do not actually contact the suspected infringer. We like to see the ad or flier with the suspected infringer’s name, phone number and other information.
Details on CPTA members doing the reporting are held in strict confidence. CPTA’s investigators attempt to independently determine specific elements of infringement and collect the suspected infringer’s name, the crop type/variety being illegally sold, the amount being sold, and other pertinent details.
